About the event

This is The Decade of our Lives for climate change.
Every 5 weeks that passes, represents 1% of the decade gone.
One certainty - the decisions we make this decade, will be the legacy we leave for future generations.

What are you going to do in the next 5 weeks?
What actionable steps will you take to address your organisation's impact on the environment?
How will you then take collaborative action across your value chain? The Scope 3 challenge is here and it is here now

On Wednesday 1st December, we bring you an all new format Collaborate - powerful and laser-focused on enterprise organisations most pressing planet critical mission: Climate, carbon and the Scope 3 challenge

Jim Massey Quote

Emissions scopes: A refresher

Corporate emissions fall into three categories: Scopes 1, 2, and 3.

Scope 1 covers emissions from sources that an organisation directly owns or controls.

Scope 2 refers to emissions from purchased electricity, steam, heating, and cooling that the reporting company consumes over the course of their operations.

Scope 3 is everything else – all other indirect emissions that occur within an organisation’s value chain, both up- and downstream.

Given value chain emissions make up 80% of total emissions for a typical consumer company, we cannot tackle our total emissions without addressing the Scope 3 challenge. Consequently, we cannot meaningfully improve carbon performance without working in collaboration with key supplier stakeholders.

Meaningful supplier relationships are no longer a nice to have, they are business critical.

This powerful and laser-focused session will bring together the leading thinking on the business and planet critical mission enterprise businesses must undertake to start tackle Scope 3 emissions, with insights and best practice from the leaders in this space.
